Westridge Estates, the beautifully designed and developed subdivision within the city limits of Williams Lake, British Columbia began as a result of a combination of timing, an opportune idea, and most importantly, a beautiful autumn afternoon.
Luigi Mandarino, project manager and president of Westridge Ventures Ltd., was in Williams Lake building a reservoir in 1990 when he first noticed the property on the west side of the city and realized the potential for a “first class subdivision.” He made arrangements for his entire family to view the land together. It was a sunny fall day and as they drove over the then grass-covered roads and admired the spectacular view, not only did it reaffirm Luigi’s initial assessment of future possibilities, but in his own words, “We all fell in love the property.”
Development began a year later and after several years of commuting, Luigi relocated permanently to the already established neighborhood of Westridge Estates in 2000.
As primary developer of the subdivision, Luigi Mandarino is the sole owner and president of two limited companies that are paramount to the development of the project.
Westridge Ventures Ltd.: The land development company through which all engineering and land surveying is prepared and development permits are obtained.
Mandrax Enterprises Ltd.: The site development and servicing company through which all land clearing, the installation of water, sewer and storm pipes, including Hydro, Telus and cable, as well as the building of roads, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters is contracted.
Owner Luigi Mandarino brings with him over 35 years experience in construction, management and development including:
- Residential development on the Sunshine Coast and West Kootenays
- Downtown revitalization projects in central and south Okanagan
- Construction of municipal underground infrastructure throughout BC
- Potable water and waste treatment facilities for municipal, provincial, federal and First Nations governments.
- Several bridges for the BC Ministry of Transportation and Highways
